University Health is seeking an experienced and dedicated
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to be part of our elite Pediatric Critical Care Transport Team
. You'll deliver life‑saving respiratory care to critically ill infants and children across South Texas by air and ground
.
Work side‑by‑side with nurses and physicians on a highly trained transport unit—ready for anything, 24/7.
Minimum Qualifications:- Current RRT credential by the NBRC.
- Active Texas RCP license.
- Minimum 2 years of recent pediatric critical care experience required.
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS.
- NRP (provider or instructor) required within 3 months.
- National certification preferred at hire or within 6 months (e.g., National Pediatric Specialist).
- Completion of trauma training within 6 months (TNCC or TPATC).
- Be a core team member of a mobile pediatric ICU
- 24/7 access to state‑of‑the‑art transport modalities (ambulance, helicopter, airplane)
