The Dietary Aide supports the dining and nutrition services team by providing excellent hospitality and service to residents and guests. This role ensures that meals are served in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment that promotes resident satisfaction and supports their nutritional needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver a high level of hospitality and courteous service during meal periods.
  • Assist in meal service to residents in the dining room and/or deliver trays to apartments as needed.
  • Set up, clear, and sanitize dining areas and workstations before and after meal service.
  • Assist with plating and portioning meals according to diet orders and presentation standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining room, kitchen, and dishwashing areas.
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection control guidelines.
  • Restock supplies, condiments, and beverages to ensure efficient service.
  • Communicate resident preferences, concerns, or special requests to supervisors.
  • Support special events, catering, or themed dining experiences as needed.
  • Participate in team meetings and hospitality training to enhance resident engagement.
  • Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in hospitality, dining services, or healthcare setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic food handling and sanitation standards.
  • Friendly, professional demeanor with strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 pounds during shifts.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
