Summary
Assistant Front Office Manager oversees front office staff, staffing needs, and guest services.

Responsibilities- Supervise Front Desk staff: interview and onboard new colleagues, provide disciplinary action, conduct performance evaluations, train, manage payroll, and staff development. Schedule staff according to labor standards and forecasted occupancy.
- Maintain standards of guest service quality; contribute to profitability and guest satisfaction perception of other hotel departments.
- Achieve budgeted revenues and expenses and maximize profitability related to the guest services department.
- Develop short‑term and long‑term financial and operational plans for the guest service department that align with hotel overall objectives; participate in annual hotel budget preparation.
- Manage the reservation function to maintain highest possible room occupancy and average daily rate through suggestive selling by employees.
- Maintain procedures for credit control and handling of financial transactions, security of monies, guest security, and emergency procedures.
- Receive departmental related guest complaints and ensure corrective action is taken.
- Ensure staff uses guest interaction skills; reward employees who meet or exceed guest expectations.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Refined verbal and written communication skills.
- Minimum of one year previous front office management experience required.
- Experience using Opera PMS, Colleague Advantage, and HotSOS computer systems ideal.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule of any shift on any day, including weekends, holidays, and some overnight shifts depending on business levels.
- Proficient computer skills, strong multitasking, and problem‑solving abilities.
