Housekeeping Houseperson

An opportunity to work as a Houseperson within Housekeeping, ensuring guest rooms and public areas are clean, stocked, and prepared to meet Omni standards.

This position ensures that assigned public space and guest room floors are kept fully stocked and clean while maintaining Omni standards and exceeding our guest expectations.

• Ensure assigned linen room closets are stocked at par.
• Empty GRA carts, linens, and trash as needed.
• Assist in stripping, checking out rooms of linen, and removing trash.
• Assist in taking in-room dining dishes, tables and trays from guestrooms and corridors to the service elevator landing.
• Keep corridors on guest room floors clean and vacuumed.
• Sweep, scrub, mop hard surface floors on assigned section.
• Assist in deep cleaning and shampooing carpet and/or furniture.
• Maintain corridor cleanliness.
• Move furniture upon request.
• Complete a quarterly mattress flip project.
• Complete guest requests.
• Pick up guest shoes, shine them, and deliver them back.
• Assist in the distribution of items to all guests' rooms.
• Assist in Housekeeping inventories.
• Wash and return glassware and coffee cups to linen closets.
• Assist GRAs with guestroom supplies.
• Ensure all linen is dropped in the linen chute in a timely manner.
• Takes soiled bedding items to the Laundry to be washed.
• Turn in Lost and Found items to the Housekeeping Office before the end of the shift.
• Deposit trash and recycling to the dumpsters.
• Clean up bio-hazard spills in guestrooms and public areas with proper safety gear.
• Report missing or damaged items in guestrooms or public areas to Supervisor.
• Report engineering issues to the Office Coordinator or Supervisor.
• Encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among co-workers, treating co-workers fairly and equitably.
• Maintain a professional, neat, and organized appearance according to Omni standards.
• Respond swiftly and effectively in any emergency or safety situation; ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury or accident.
• Attend all required department training and meetings.
• Perform any other duties required by management.

• Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.
• Ability to communicate effectively with associates and guests in person or via cellular telephone/radio.
• Prior housekeeping experience required or other relevant environmental services experience.
• Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift; frequent bending, reaching overhead, and squatting.
• Willingness to work flexible hours during busy times and high-profile events, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work in a fast-pace environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to handle stressful and busy hotel operations with a positive, professional demeanor.
• Reliability: report to work on time and when scheduled.
• Stand/walk for extended periods of time.
• Standards of appearance and personal hygiene.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English with guests, management, and co-workers.
