Starting pay: $18‑$20 per hour with cash tips daily.

Work Schedule

Potential work schedule includes weekdays, weekends, holidays, all shifts. Specifics will be discussed during interview.

SUMMARY

The Guest Service Associate is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly and efficient manner.

The Guest Service Associate is responsible for parking and retrieving guest vehicles in a prompt yet safe manner and assisting guests with luggage, including delivery and pickup of guest luggage (where applicable) during arrival and departure.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Maintains pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co‑workers, and clients.
  • Uses salutation of the day and welcomes guests to the location; practices proper phone etiquette.
  • Parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously.
  • Assists guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed; opens all vehicle and hotel doors for guests.
  • Assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries; provides guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms and/or amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area; delivers messages, items and/or guest amenities as requested; shuttles guests to appropriate places that are approved by the location.
  • Explains parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival; issues claim checks after receiving vehicle keys; collects claim checks from all guests prior to issuing keys; consistently completes all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey and claim check receipt.
  • Calculates and collects revenue for vehicles when needed.
  • Consistently completes location on all key tags after parking vehicle.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education:

    High school diploma or GED.
  • Licensure and Certification:
    Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state you are applying to work (or within a commutable distance from the state).
  • Work Experience:

    One (1) month related experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge:
    Principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
  • Skills:
    • Read and write standard English; read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
    • Write simple correspondence.
    • Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to guests, clients and other employees.
    • Perform basic arithmetic operations including three‑digit numbers, multiplication/division with tens and hundreds, and U.S. money calculations.
    • Understand 24‑hour and military time systems, rates applicable to time passed.
    • Operate a manual transmission; perform parallel parking (highly desirable).
SCOPE

Authority to act:
Job is fairly routine; decisions are made within specific operational instructions and departmental guidelines.

Budget Responsibility

The employee has control over resources available only.

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Regular contact by talking and hearing; sit or stand for extended periods; run; walk; handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Physical Requirements:

Lifting up to 100 lbs occasionally, up to 50 lbs frequently, up to 20 lbs constantly.

Environmental Conditions:

Majority of work outdoors; subject to extreme heat and cold; protection from weather may be provided.

Travel:
Up to 5% may be required.
