Sítio El Tropicano is a reimagined River Walk icon, transforming a historic San Antonio landmark into an urban oasis where nature, design, and cultural exchange meet. Opening in late 2026, the 315-room property will span 400 feet of River Walk frontage and feature San Antonio’s largest pool deck. Guests will enjoy three distinct culinary and cocktail venues developed with acclaimed local restaurateurs, along with 16,000 square feet of flexible event space.
The hotel will also host a 5,000 square foot spa and wellness retreat, offering a comprehensive leisure and relaxation experience. Sítio El Tropicano debuts as the newest brand from Trestle Studio, bringing a fresh, design-forward vision to the San Antonio hospitality scene.
The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for overseeing all housekeeping operations to ensure that guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house spaces, and amenities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation. This full-time, on-site role, based in San Antonio, TX, includes managing housekeeping and laundry teams, scheduling staff, and monitoring daily workflows to meet occupancy and event needs. The Executive Housekeeper will develop and implement housekeeping procedures, inventory controls, and quality assurance programs, as well as train team members on service standards, product usage, and safety protocols.
The role also involves collaborating with Front Office, Engineering, Spa, and Food & Beverage teams to support seamless guest experiences and special events, while responding promptly to guest feedback and service requests. Additional responsibilities include budget oversight for housekeeping supplies and labor, participation in pre-opening preparations, and helping establish the property’s operational culture and standards.
- Demonstrated experience in housekeeping leadership in hotels or resorts, including supervision of room attendants, public area staff, and laundry operations.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle scheduling, inspections, inventory control, and coordination with other departments.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemicals, equipment, and safety standards, with a commitment to health, sanitation, and environmental best practices.
- Proficiency in staff training, performance coaching, and building inclusive, high-performing teams that reflect the property’s service culture.
- Comfort with property management systems and basic computer skills for reporting, ordering supplies, and managing housekeeping records.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with guests, team members, and cross-functional partners in a professional manner.
- Ability to work on-site in San Antonio, TX, with schedule flexibility to support weekends, holidays, and special events as needed.
- Experience in pre-opening or new property launches is preferred; prior background in lifestyle, luxury, or design-forward hotels is
