Position Overview

The Night Auditor Supervisor oversees overnight night audit and front office operations, ensuring the accurate reconciliation of daily financial transactions while delivering seamless, discreet, and personalized guest service. This role provides direct supervision and support to Night Auditors, ensures the accurate and timely completion of daily audit processes, and serves as a key overnight leader for the hotel. The Night Auditor Supervisor combines financial precision, operational leadership, and refined hospitality while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, discretion, and guest service.

What

You’ll Do Night Audit & Financial Responsibilities
  • Oversee and perform daily night audit procedures, ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions across front office, food and beverage, spa, and ancillary outlets.
  • Review completed night audit work for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with hotel and accounting standards.
  • Reconcile room revenue, tax postings, payment methods, cash, credit card, and ledger accounts.
  • Verify room rates, packages, allowances, adjustments, no-show charges, and other postings for accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies and elevate significant issues to appropriate leadership.
  • Ensure daily financial reports are completed accurately and distributed to management and corporate offices as required.
  • Identify recurring audit discrepancies or process concerns and communicate findings to leadership.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of financial, guest, and business information.
Guest Experience & Front Office Operations
  • Provide warm, polished, and anticipatory service to guests throughout overnight hours.
  • Oversee late-night arrivals, early-morning departures, and overnight guest requests.
  • Assist Night Auditors with complex guest situations, billing concerns, and service recovery.
  • Serve as an escalation point for guest concerns, resolving issues with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.
  • Support VIP, repeat guest, and special-status guest needs, ensuring preferences and requests are addressed appropriately.
  • Ensure overnight guest interactions consistently reflect the hotel’s service standards.
Team Leadership & Development
  • Provide direct supervision, guidance, and support to Night Auditors during assigned shifts.
  • Assign responsibilities and monitor completion of overnight audit and front office duties.
  • Train and coach Night Auditors on audit procedures, hotel systems, guest service standards, and operational expectations.
  • Review work for accuracy and provide timely feedback when performance or process concerns are identified.
  • Reinforce professional appearance, grooming, attendance, and service expectations.
  • Assist leadership with onboarding and training new Night Auditors.
  • Communicate team member performance, attendance, and operational concerns to the Director of Guest Experience.
  • Promote a professional, collaborative, and service-focused overnight work environment.
Overnight Hotel Operations
  • Serve as a key overnight operational leader and coordinate with the Manager on Duty or other hotel leadership as applicable.
  • Monitor lobby presentation, front desk standards, and overnight guest areas to maintain the hotel’s appearance and service standards.
  • Coordinate with Security, Engineering, Housekeeping, Valet, and other departments to address overnight guest requests and operational needs.
