Position Summary
The Front of House Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of front-of-house services and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. This role provides leadership, guidance, and support to front-line team members while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality, service, and professionalism. The Front of House Supervisor serves as a key leader on duty, ensuring smooth operations and positive guest interactions throughout each shift.
Key Responsibilities Guest Experience & Service- Deliver and uphold exceptional customer service standards.
- Ensure guests receive prompt, professional, and personalized service.
- Respond to guest concerns and resolve service issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and identify opportunities to enhance the overall experience.
- Serve as a visible and approachable presence for guests and team members.
- Supervise, coach, and develop front-of-house staff.
- Assist with onboarding and training new team members.
- Provide ongoing feedback and performance coaching.
- Lead pre-shift meetings and communicate operational priorities.
- Promote a positive, collaborative, and guest-focused work environment.
- Oversee opening, service, and closing procedures.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and service standards.
- Assist with scheduling and staffing assignments to support business needs.
- Coordinate with culinary, events, housekeeping, and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Monitor dining rooms, public spaces, and guest-facing areas to maintain cleanliness and presentation standards.
- Assist in managing reservations, seating plans, and guest flow during peak service periods.
- Complete shift reports and communicate operational updates to leadership.
- Maintain accurate records and operational documentation.
- Monitor supply levels and communicate inventory or maintenance needs.
- Support departmental goals by identifying efficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and company policies.
- Maintain a safe environment for guests and team members.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies, incidents, and operational disruptions.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a hospitality or guest-focused environment preferred.
- Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proven ability to resolve guest concerns with professionalism and empathy.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with reservation systems and POS platforms preferred.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
