Position Summary

The Front of House Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of front-of-house services and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. This role provides leadership, guidance, and support to front-line team members while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality, service, and professionalism. The Front of House Supervisor serves as a key leader on duty, ensuring smooth operations and positive guest interactions throughout each shift.

Key Responsibilities Guest Experience & Service
  • Deliver and uphold exceptional customer service standards.
  • Ensure guests receive prompt, professional, and personalized service.
  • Respond to guest concerns and resolve service issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and identify opportunities to enhance the overall experience.
  • Serve as a visible and approachable presence for guests and team members.
Team Leadership
  • Supervise, coach, and develop front-of-house staff.
  • Assist with onboarding and training new team members.
  • Provide ongoing feedback and performance coaching.
  • Lead pre-shift meetings and communicate operational priorities.
  • Promote a positive, collaborative, and guest-focused work environment.
Operational Management
  • Oversee opening, service, and closing procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Assist with scheduling and staffing assignments to support business needs.
  • Coordinate with culinary, events, housekeeping, and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Monitor dining rooms, public spaces, and guest-facing areas to maintain cleanliness and presentation standards.
  • Assist in managing reservations, seating plans, and guest flow during peak service periods.
Administrative Responsibilities
  • Complete shift reports and communicate operational updates to leadership.
  • Maintain accurate records and operational documentation.
  • Monitor supply levels and communicate inventory or maintenance needs.
  • Support departmental goals by identifying efficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
Health & Safety Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and company policies.
  • Maintain a safe environment for guests and team members.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies, incidents, and operational disruptions.
Qualifications
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a hospitality or guest-focused environment preferred.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proven ability to resolve guest concerns with professionalism and empathy.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with reservation systems and POS platforms preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
