Education and ExperienceBachelors Degree
Minimum of three years of related experience in human resources or school administration
Experience in conflict resolution or mediation within a mid-size to large corporation or educational environment
High School Diplomas and college/university degrees must be obtained from an accredited program or university approved by the United States Department of Education and the Texas Education Agency.
Primary Purpose SummaryAssists the Director, Employee Relations with employment issues by coordinating and investigating employee relations matters to maintain effective employee to employer relations and ensure compliance with equal employment opportunity requirements, a harassment free work environment, and the Educator Standards of Conduct.
Essential Requirements and Responsibilities- Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, decision-making, mediation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships
- Ability to operate independently, empathize with others, understanding when to escalate issues
- Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize work, and document efficiently
- Accurately convey, transfer, and record information in formal and informal meetings/conferences
- Effectively utilize computers and other equipment necessary in operating the human resources office, to include various software programs including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Think creatively and be flexible
- Occasional travel to campuses and/or NEISD facilities
- Valid Texas Driver’s License with driving record that meets the requirements of the District
- Ability to interpret and follow Board of Education policies, District policies, administrative guidelines and building and department procedures
