Description

The Human Resources Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting and executing core HR functions across the organization. This position supports payroll, benefits, onboarding, employee relations, and training initiatives. The HR Coordinator partners closely with leadership to ensure compliance, operational efficiency, and a positive employee experience, while contributing to the development and implementation of HR programs and processes.

Responsibilities
  • Independently process semi-monthly payroll with a high degree of accuracy, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company policies.
  • Serve as a subject-matter resource for employees and managers regarding payroll practices,
  • Coordinate and administer employee benefits programs, including health and retirement benefits.
  • Interpret plan provisions and eligibility rules, providing guidance to employees and escalating complex issues as appropriate.
  • Support open enrollment planning, employee education, and benefits communications.
  • Manage the HR inbox efficiently, promptly responding to inquiries and forwarding messages to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist in planning and organizing company events, such as team-building activities, holiday parties, and recognition ceremonies.
  • Collaborate with department leads to identify training needs and develop relevant programs.
  • Assist in designing, developing, and facilitating training programs, materials, and presentations to support employee growth and engagement.
  • Guide employees and managers through onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring compliance with documentation, timelines, and internal controls.
  • Maintain accurate employee records within the HRIS and support data integrity across HR systems.
  • Assist with employee relations matters, fostering positive working relationships and addressing concerns or conflicts in accordance with company policies and legal regulations.
Experience & Required Skills
  • Prior experience in payroll administration and benefits coordination
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products, including Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS software, UKG experience preferred.
Education & Certification
  • Associate’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field, preferred.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR, preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit for long periods.
  • Occasional standing, stooping, bending, and kneeling.
  • Manual dexterity for computer and phone use.
  • Visual acuity to read documents.
  • Clear speech and ability to understand others.
  • Occasional lifting of 10-30 pounds.
