POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides leave of absence support for all the University Health employees. Support includes, but is not limited to providing leave of absence information to employees, ensuring that proper documentation is received, and following LOA and ADA procedures and policies. Acts as a liaison between management and employees to ensure all LOA issues are resolved and communicated accurately. Determines LOA eligibility through use of the HRIS system.
Responsible for a working knowledge of legislative issues and laws that affect leave of absence administration. Assists all employees, visitors and callers in a manner that is consistently courteous, professional, responsive, timely and accurate.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or a related field is required. A minimum of two years recent experience in leave of absence management or benefits is preferred. Thorough understanding of legislation to include FMLA and ADA is required. PC and windows experience to include spreadsheets, database management and word processing competence is required.
