Position Summary

Mosaic Human Capital Solutions is hiring a Payroll Clerk on behalf of a leading company in the San Antonio area. This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while supporting compliance, reporting, and internal administrative functions.

The individual will assist with weekly payroll processing, timecard review, employee payroll inquiries, and maintenance of payroll records. This role requires strong attention to detail, discretion with confidential information, and the ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

This position will begin part-time, with the opportunity to transition to full-time based on performance and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities Payroll Administration
  • Process weekly payroll accurately and on time.
  • Review, verify, and reconcile employee timecards and job coding.
  • Track PTO, absences, pay adjustments, and other payroll changes.
  • Maintain organized payroll records in compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
  • Assist with payroll reporting and audit preparation as needed.
Employee Support
  • Respond to payroll-related questions from employees in a professional and timely manner.
  • Coordinate with HR and Accounting to ensure accurate employee data and records.
  • Support onboarding documentation related to payroll setup.
Compliance & Documentation
  • Ensure payroll files are complete, organized, and audit-ready.
  • Assist with maintaining compliance with federal, state, and company payroll requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and efficiency.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2years of payroll processing experience required.
  • Experience in construction or similar industry preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paycom,or similar) preferred.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
