Job Description
The Employee Relations Advisor I provides frontline support for employee relations activities, including case intake, documentation, policy interpretation, and issue resolution. This role partners with HR and management to ensure consistent application of company policies, supports investigations and corrective actions, and helps mitigate risk by maintaining compliance with employment laws and internal procedures.
ResponsibilitiesPromotes and sustains positive employee relations across the organization.
- Responds to assigned calls and conducts thorough investigations into employee concerns.
- Collaborates closely with the Employee Relations (ER) Team to provide confidential, neutral guidance to employees, supporting amicable resolution of workplace issues.
- Educates employees on company policies, procedures, and practices; offers confidential consultations and supports the ER Team in providing conflict‑resolution options, including Resolution Conferences and Internal Review Panels.
- Advocates for fairness by investigating internal complaints involving Unfair Treatment, Harassment, Discrimination, and other employee‑relations matters.
- Documents investigation notes and findings in the case management database in a timely and accurate manner.
- Prepares and analyzes documents, reports, and correspondence; identifies trends or problem areas; and provides recommendations to the ER Team and jobsite leadership for continuous improvement.
- Provides coaching and guidance to Managers and Supervisors on employee‑relations issues, including hiring, corrective action, and terminations.
- Delivers training and guidance to jobsites on company culture, policies, and procedures, with an emphasis on employment‑law topics such as EEO, FMLA, ADA, ADEA, and related regulations.
- Assists in coordinating ADA reasonable accommodations, disciplinary actions, separations, and the management of complex employee‑relations situations.
- Conducts investigations related to charges filed with the EEOC, Human Rights Commission, and other regulatory agencies.
- Provides documentation, evidence, and other relevant materials to support agency charges, investigations, and litigation.
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bilingual proficiency required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
