The HR Business Partner serves as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, providing strategic and day-to-day human resources support. This role partners closely with operational leaders to strengthen employee relations, improve organizational effectiveness, and ensure HR practices align with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with department leaders to provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning
- Advise managers on HR policies, employment practices, and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Support recruiting efforts by partnering with hiring managers throughout the hiring process, from requisition planning through onboarding
- Coach supervisors on employee development, conflict resolution, and performance improvement strategies
- Assist with investigations involving workplace concerns and recommend appropriate resolutions
- Analyze workforce trends and HR metrics to identify opportunities for process improvement and employee engagement
- Support compensation, performance review, and talent development initiatives
- Coordinate and facilitate onboarding activities to ensure a positive new hire experience
- Participate in organizational change initiatives and help drive HR programs that support business goals
- Maintain accurate employee records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with company policies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- 3+ years of experience in an HR Business Partner, Human Resources Generalist, or similar HR role
- Strong understanding of employment laws, HR best practices, and employee relations
- Experience supporting leaders in a manufacturing, automotive, or industrial environment is a plus
- Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Professional HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) is a plus
