HR Coordinator

The position provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources Department and dealership locations. The position helps ensure that HR processes are completed accurately, consistently, and timely across the organization. The HR Coordinator will serve as an important point of contact for employees and managers. The position will support and report to the Director of Human Resources.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support day-to-day HR operations across multiple dealership locations.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and personnel files.
  • Administer new hire onboarding.
  • Enter and maintain employee information in the HRIS system.
  • Process employee status changes, terminations, and other personnel transactions.
  • Handle issues and inquiries and supply information to job applicants, employees, and department heads.
  • Assist employees with benefit enrollment and general benefit questions
  • Process monthly benefit bills
  • Interpret, assist and advise company employees about benefit administration and leave management, and HR procedures and policies within the specified guidelines.
  • Review internal training levels and advise department heads on progress.
  • Coordinate and assist with new employee/benefit orientation and meetings.
  • Carry out wellness program activities – health screenings, wellness challenges, employee communications, etc.
  • Assist in worker's compensation program administration.
  • Review, interpret, analyze and prepare for approval a variety of data, information and reports, and make recommendations depending on findings.
  • Maintain, control and secure confidential and sensitive records such as personnel recruitment records, organizational changes and employee relations.
  • Assist with HR audits and compliance reviews.
  • Prepare forms and reports, compose regular and special correspondence, arrange and coordinate meetings with management and staff, process and maintain confidential documents, and other duties as assigned by the HR Director.
Skills and Specifications
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize multiple requests
  • Able to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with people in course of work.
  • Good professional appearance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.
  • Able to deliver effective results, meet tight deadlines and targets.
  • Good judgment and decision-making skills.
Education and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related fields from an accredited institution.
  • 2 + years previous experience in Human Resources.
