Overview
Who We Are A team of PC technicians that work on campus to assist users on-site and remotely. Providing tier 2 level support to users' workstations in a predominantly Microsoft environment with growth potential into various other technologies.
RoleObjectives of this Role:
- Supporting users workstations either in person and/or with remote access.
- Supporting Windows 11 operating system.
- Supporting software in an Enterprise environment.
- Understanding of business applications including but not limited to, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat and Reader, and major web browsers.
- Knowledge of network protocols/services and network infrastructures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with users at any technical level.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, including the ability to work with individuals at all levels of an organization.
- To be a proactive member of the PC Technician group.
- Supports a range of desktop, laptop, and tablet devices in the GCC High Enterprise environment.
- Respond to support cases via Web-based Help Desk ticketing system.
- Coordinating with end users to schedule and deploy their new or replacement workstations.
- Ability to troubleshoot and identify issues with the end users' workstation relating to the operating system (generally Windows 10/11), device hardware, and applications.
- Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
- Imaging computer workstations.
- The imaging process utilizes System Center Configuration Manager.
- Reporting to the Project Manager as required for project updates.
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Comp Tia A+ certifications a plus.
- Microsoft Certified Professional certification or higher a plus.
- MacOS certifications a plus.
- 2 years:
Desktop Support in an Enterprise, Windows Desktop based working environment as a field technician; specifically in supporting the Windows desktop operating system. - 1 year:
Desktop support for cloud services to include Teams, One Drive, M365. - Communication, Organizational, and written skills are a must.
- Familiarity with imaging technologies in a Enterprise Environment, focusing specifically on Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager a plus.
- A valid/clear driver's license is required.
