Grade 20:
Starting annual salary $70,179.00. Rate of pay depends on qualifications.
The Applications Analyst is responsible for analyzing, maintaining, designing, developing, testing, and implementing software applications. This position is responsible for the support, training, and interaction with the user community to improve daily processing and user development in the understanding of the applications software. The Applications Analyst will prepare, maintain, and publish system documentation to support Information Services staff and user community.
EssentialFunctions
- Identifies, analyzes, maintains, supports, designs, and upgrades software applications (in-house and third party software) to ensure processes and functionality of the applications comply with the organization processes and regulations.
- Maintains system applications guidelines, schedules, and data structures as needed by applications processing such as Financial, Human Resources, CIS/Billing, and Work Order System Applications.
- Researches, plans, develops, tests, and implements internal & external interfaces between existing and new applications platforms to produce seamless integration that complies with processing and business requirements.
- Analyzes, plans, tests, and implements system application upgrades and new releases as required by the software vendor and company requirements to maintain software compliance and company regulations.
- Supports the user community in the resolution of problems with the software applications functionality.
- Develops and maintains documentation of applications that describes the processing and maintains the support of the applications.
- Assists, trains, and educates the user community in the research for new approaches to improve processing and the use of the software as well as assisting with update and development of applications reports.
- Maintains professional interaction with the applications staff and user community to ensure adequate system functionality, promote team participation and encourage user confidence in the applications staff quality service.
- Researches and corrects problems with the system applications during production processing in an efficient and timely manner ensuring system recovery and integrity.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- This position works under limited supervision.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field from an institution accredited by a recognized accrediting agency.
- Three years' progressively responsible experience in supporting enterprise applications.
- Proficient in cloud and on-premise system applications (e.g. Infor Hansen (O&R), Infor Lawson Financial and Human Resources).
- Proficient in the use of programming tools such as:
Visual Studio .NET, Web Services, XML, PL/SQL developer, scripting languages (e.g., VBScript, Power Shell, Python), JavaScript. - Proficient use of relational databases such as Oracle or MS SQL Server.
- Ability to use operating systems such as Windows and UNIX.
- Knowledge of Microsoft office, MS Project, Visio, and enterprise reporting tools.
- Experience implementing, configuring, and supporting infor Lawson applications including Finance, GHR, and Supply Chain, or equivalent ERP/HCM platforms.
- Experience supporting payroll, benefits, timekeeping, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivables, and procurement-related system functionality.
- Experience implementing, configuring, and supporting Kronos (UKG) Workforce Central or similar workforce management systems.
- Experience integrating HR and Finance systems across on-premise and cloud environments using APIs, SFTP/file-based exchanges, and scheduled batch processes.
- Experience working with infor integration technologies such as Infor, OS, ION, IPA, or comparable enterprise integration platforms.
- Experience coordinating vendor upgrades, patches, and system enhancements, including regression testing and user validation.
- Experience supporting reporting and data extraction for HR and Finance systems to meet operational and management needs.
- Contact with internal and external customers, contractors, consultants, and governmental agencies.
- Communicates effectively, verbally and in writing.
Physical requirements include occasional lifting/carrying of up to 15 pounds, visual acuity, speech, and hearing. Ability to operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment. Working conditions are primarily in the office environment, but occasional outside field situations could require the use of basic personal protective equipment. May drive a company and/or personal vehicle when performing duties at field locations.
May be required to work hours other than the regular schedule including nights and weekends. May be required to travel and be on-call.
