As a Data Center Manager in Amazon, you will manage the world’s largest Cloud Computing Infrastructure. We encounter interesting, challenging & complex problems every day, and being a technical manager at Amazon means you can innovate to solve these issues and help drive Operations Excellence in all areas of your role. You will be a proven manager with experience leading teams of high performers, refining and developing processes to optimize operational excellence, and driving performance to operate our Data Centers  will have experience in Data Centers (building or managing or both) along with experience developing strong internal and external relationships.

• Managing and developing teams of engineers, providing technical and leadership expertise and ensuring high performance.
• Maintaining existing Data Centers.
• Helping build and bring online new Data Centers.
• Continuously improving all processes and procedures to enable operational excellence.
• Assisting & managing relationships with external vendors & contractors.
• Liaising with internal teams & management groups.
• Ensuring adherence to and exceeding local Health & Safety standards in all Data Centers.
• Creating and maintaining metrics on all aspects of Data Centers and using those metrics to drive improvements.
• Assisting in implementing service methodologies including incident management, problem management, change management, and capacity management.

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on challenging problems with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain and seek talented people who want to help.

You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. Basic Qualifications

• 1+ year of data center engineering or operations experience
• 4+ years of experience managing people in a technical environment

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of data center experience
• Behavioral interviewing and hiring experience
• Experience in technical writing in a relevant field
• Experience contributing to the definition and implementation of automation opportunities within an operations environment
• Ability to work on a flexible schedule including days, nights, and/or weekends

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
