Matrix Medical Management is looking for an IT Technical Support to join our team located in South San Antonio, Texas!
The IT Technical Support is responsible for providing technical assistance, diagnosis, and IT analysis regarding computer systems. This role provides support to end users on software, applications, security, telephone systems, and network issues. Assists in completing tasks or troubleshooting problems through diagnostic tests and remote access to computers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:- First point of contact for clients’ service requests. Supports incidents both by phone and inbound emails.
- Manage help desk tickets, validate, document, and escalate when necessary. Categorize, prioritize, and determine assignment.
- Maintains database of desktop services issues and resolutions for future reference.
- Provides the highest level of client satisfaction, ensures requests and issues are resolved and meet client expectations.
- Provides technical support for desktop computers and other peripheral equipment, including installing, configuring, maintaining, and repairing equipment in a networked environment. Determines feasibility of repair or replacement of equipment and acts on issues as necessary.
- Troubleshoots desktop services and systems and makes recommendations for improvements to increase productivity and address workflow issues.
- Met with users to determine software, application, or systems’ need. Research solutions and provide users with recommendations for appropriate solutions to address their needs.
- Install and upgrade standard software applications.
- Responsible for maintaining equipment and software inventory.
- Maintains files and documentation for various software installations.
- Installs new software releases, system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches and resolves software related problems.
- Help with general networking/cabling setup for new practices/branches.
- Provide professional and friendly support, in person and via telephone, email and remote-control software.
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology.
- Knowledge of computer and relevant software applications.
- Strong attention to detail: being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks.
- Ability to adapt with flexibility: being open to change and to considerable variety in the workplace.
- Ability to work independently by guiding oneself with little or no supervision and depending on oneself to get things done.
- Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Working knowledge of Windows client operating systems (7, 8, 10 and 11), networking and hardware troubleshooting
- Energetic with a desire to learn and develop new skills.
- High School Diploma or GED
- BLS certified or must complete certification within 90-days of hire
- Two (2) years of experience in IT Support
- Experience with MS Windows environment
- Valid Texas Driver’s License
