The Mission...
Leidos is seeking a Service Now Lead to be part of the mission solution and help lead AFLCMC, HNCD Digital Modernization Strategy. The Service Now Lead will be responsible for managing and overseeing the execution of technical projects within the Service Now platform, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required specifications. You will work closely with technical teams, business analysts, and clients to ensure successful implementation and utilization of the Service Now platform.
You will be expected to have strong technical knowledge, excellent project management skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Key Tasks:
- Lead the Service Now Architecture development, enhancements and implementations.
- Collaborate with customers and stakeholders in utilizing Service Now for managing enterprise services and enhancements using new technologies (i.e., AI and automation).
- Build and maintain strong relationships with project sponsors, stakeholders, and team members, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Build roadmaps, provide recommendations, lead development and utilization of new technologies and services to enhance and fully utilize Service Now services and capabilities.
- Provide assistance to development teams as needed.
- Plan, organize, and execute Service Now projects, including scoping, budgeting, resource allocation, and timeline management.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks to ensure projects remain on track and within budget.
- Identify and resolve issues that may arise during the project.

- Strong understanding of Service Now platform, cloud technologies, and IT project management methodologies, including its modules, functionalities, and best practices.
- Proven ability to plan, execute, and monitor projects, including managing budgets, timelines, and resources.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to inspire and motivate project teams, and to lead and influence stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing workflows, including process automation and integrations.
- Ability to customize the Service Now platform to meet specific business needs, including scripting, table customization, and UI enhancements.
- Knowledge of integrating Service Now with other systems, such as ERP, CRM, and HR systems.
- Understanding of Service Now security features and best practices for securing data and access.
- Knowledge of scripting languages like JavaScript, JQuery, and Python (if required).
- Understanding of SQL for querying and manipulating data within the Service Now platform.
- Basic understanding of database concepts, including data modeling and data integrity.
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure components, such as servers, networks, and storage
- Solid understanding of Service Now's architecture, configuration, and integration capabilities, as well as other relevant cloud platform technologies.
- Proficient in agile methodologies and frameworks, such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe.
Basic Qualifications and required educational requirements:
- Bachelor’s and 12 years of experience, Master’s and 10 years of experience or 16+ in lieu of a degree
- 10+ years of experience as Service Now Developer
- 5+ years as a Service Now Solutions Architect
- 5+ years leading Service Now development teams
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
