We are looking for a skilled Database Administrator to join our team in San Antonio Texas. In this role, you will oversee critical database functions and contribute to modernization initiatives, including cloud-based solutions and system upgrades. This is a contract position with the possibility of transitioning into a long-term role based on performance.

• Manage Microsoft SQL Server databases to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Execute upgrades and migrations of Microsoft SQL Server from older versions to modern platforms such as SQL Server 2022/2025.
• Optimize and maintain Azure SQL Database environments, including Database as a Service.
• Support data migration activities related to Oracle Fusion implementation.
• Develop and refine T‑SQL scripts to enhance performance, reporting, and system integration.
• Provide ongoing support for internally developed applications and ensure seamless data flow for downstream consumers.
• Collaborate closely with teams focused on application development, business intelligence, and system integrations.
• Communicate effectively across departments, demonstrating ownership and accountability in managing database systems.

• Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server database administration.
• Strong proficiency in T‑SQL scripting and query optimization.
• Hands‑on expertise in SQL Server upgrades and migration processes.
• Familiarity with Azure SQL Database environments and cloud‑based database solutions.
• Proven ability to support internally developed applications and maintain system stability.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
• Knowledge of regulated industries, such as healthcare, is a plus.
• Experience with Oracle environments or migrations is preferred.
