Scania USA is looking for a Technical Training Lead to maintain and strengthen Scania USA’s technical training program across our service network. This role is essential in ensuring that Scania Dealers in US and Canada, their technicians and key partners are equipped with the right skills, tools, and knowledge to deliver high-quality service aligned with Scania’s global standards.
We are looking for a highly capable and self‑sufficient professional who can independently plan the annual training calendar, develop technical content, promote participation across the network, and confidently deliver hands‑on classroom sessions. The focus is to ensure that field and workshop technicians are fully prepared to diagnose, maintain, and support Scania engines according to our standards.
In addition to delivering training, this role will serve as a technical reference point for trained technicians, providing ongoing clarification and guidance when questions arise, and acting as a trusted contact within the network to reinforce knowledge and best practices.
What You’ll Be Doing- Identify Scania dealer network training needs and develop scalable, targeted learning solutions.
- Deliver and manage training across Scania’s product lines (Diesel engines and also electrification), focusing on technical performance and service quality.
- Design training materials, assessments, and digital learning tools to modernize delivery.
- Track network‑wide training participation, certification status, and technical readiness for new products.
- Lead initiatives such as the annual Train‑the‑Trainer and Technical Support Seminar to strengthen learning capability across North America.
- Produce and maintain training content including troubleshooting guides, instructional videos, and technical bulletins.
- Support the Scania USA After Sales team in technical knowledge management, issue tracking (In our Failure handling system), and the continuous improvement of support resources.
- Solid experience in technical training or instructional delivery, preferably in the heavy‑duty or engine sector.
- Strong technical knowledge of Scania products and systems, or equivalent OEM platforms.
- Skilled in instructional design, facilitation, and training strategy.
- Structured, organized, and confident managing multiple initiatives across stakeholders.
- Proficiency in digital training tools, Microsoft Office, and general LMS platforms.
- High level of communication and interpersonal skills to engage both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Ability to adjust training style and method to diverse learner profiles and levels.
- High school diploma required; relevant technical certifications or post‑secondary education preferred.
- Proven experience in training program delivery, technical field support, or after sales enablement.
