Overview
Client is seeking an experienced and strategic IT Manager – Data & Analytics Platforms Engineering to lead the development and evolution of enterprise data platforms that power analytics, automation, and AI-driven insights across the organization. The role focuses on enabling trusted, reusable data products that support integrated value chains and enterprise decision‑making. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, deep cloud data platform expertise, and a passion for governance and scalable solutions.
Job Title: IT Manager - Data Operations and Platforms
Location: San Antonio, TX
Pay Range: $160,000–165,000/yr
What’s the Job?- Lead the strategy and lifecycle management of enterprise data and analytics platforms, delivering scalable, secure, and reusable data products using modern cloud technologies (Azure Synapse, Databricks, Power BI, Purview, Cognite).
- Translate business priorities into data platform capabilities, working closely with enterprise architects and stakeholders to enable advanced analytics, reporting, and AI/ML solutions across source systems and downstream consumers.
- Oversee the design and deployment of AI/ML, Agentic AI, and RPA solutions, ensuring automation performance, reliability, compliance, and integration into business operations.
- Manage data platform operations, reliability, and governance, including monitoring, cost optimization, Dev Ops/MLOps practices, cybersecurity, data privacy, and regulatory compliance.
- Lead, develop, and mentor a high‑performing engineering team, managing day‑to‑day operations, external partners, and project portfolios while fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Strong leadership and people management experience, including team development, performance management, budgeting, and cross‑functional collaboration.
- Deep expertise in cloud‑based data and analytics platforms, data integration, AI/ML platforms, and modern Dev Ops/MLOps practices.
- Strategic and business‑oriented mindset, with the ability to align technology initiatives to enterprise priorities, build business cases, and deliver measurable outcomes.
