INTL India - Business Data Analyst

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Business Data Analyst. This person will be responsible to analyze and compare data across multiple environments, including: EDH (master data management platform), EDM (database/process pushing data to the POS), Unit level restaurant data stored in SQL Express. Write and execute complex SQL queries to:
Profile data, compare records across systems, Identify discrepancies and missing attributes. Perform data reconciliation to determine where and why data does not align. Identify and document:
Data gaps, Attribute mismatches, Invalid or unaccounted for data, Conduct root cause analysis to understand how data issues impact downstream systems, including POS. Partner with engineering or data teams to understand:
Batch processes, ETL/data movement flows, Bring visibility to data quality issues across the enterprise. Document findings clearly to support a future data or modernization project. Help move the organization away from manual POS fixes by identifying systemic data issues.

• Strong hands on experience with on prem SQL Server, Azure SQL, SQL Express, and advanced SQL querying skills, including:
  • Complex joins
  • Stored procedures
  • Views
• Proven experience with data profiling and data reconciliation
• Experience comparing and validating data across multiple systems and environments
• Ability to identify data mismatches, gaps, and inconsistencies between systems
• Strong root cause analysis skills for data issues
• Ability to clearly document data gaps, mismatches, mapping logic, and business rules
• Comfortable working with incomplete, outdated, or limited documentation
• Working understanding of:
  • Batch files
  • ETL jobs
  • Data movement or integration processes
• Experience with MDM / master data platforms (EDH or similar)
• Familiarity with enterprise data ecosystems where:
  • Data exists across multiple platforms
  • Data is not consistently validated
• Exposure to enterprise data initiatives, AI, or modernization efforts
• Experience working in environments impacting end unit or store level technology
• Background supporting data initiatives tied to scaling, automation, and visibility
