UI​/UX Developer

• We are looking for a tech savvy User Interface/eXperience (UI/UX) Developer/Programmer who can drive and advance our next generation modern digital workplace technology UI/UX initiatives.
• This person will be the lead resource for communicating and working with business & technology end users to create holistic solutions for some high visibility on-going projects.

What You'll Do:

• Act as designer-developer, switching hats in both the areas of design & develop, as Subject Matter Expert (SME) assisting with decision making for some high visibility on-going projects.
• Create clean semantic HTML markup that passes WCAG & ADA/508 Accessibility standards & compliance.
• Provide development and support to the customer-facing design system including new components, defects, accessibility, and page templates.
• Collaborate with analysts, developers and architects for successful implementation and component requirements.
• Remain current on user interface framework trends and programming techniques and suggest or research on new tools and methods as needed.
• Design and maintain design files, wireframes, and mock-ups.
• Design and develop UI and UX interfaces and assist with new user interface testing or participate in usability reviews.
• Hands on development on front end user frameworks (Vue.js, Angularjs, Reactjs, jQuery etc.).
• Provide responsive websites apps development and support to the customer-facing design system including new components, defects, accessibility, and page templates.

• Research, design, develop, test, build, and coordinate the conversion or integration of frontend designs into the JS/Java codebase.
• Participate in conceptualizing, prioritizing, and creating strategies for the product UX.
• Develop well-structured and maintainable code that follows the best practices and industry standards Work with team members to develop UI prototypes as necessary and validate ideas with a data-driven approach.
• Design and develop UI and UX interfaces to meet standards and requirements.
• Remain current on user interface trends and programming techniques and suggest new tools and methods as necessary.

What You'll Bring:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 4+ years of experience in front-end web application development with hands on programming.
• 4+ years of experience with creating conceptual and detailed design solutions based on end user needs.
• 4+ years of experience working with cross functional teams using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• 4+ years of experience with creating conceptual and detailed design solutions based on end user needs.
• 4+ years of experience with communicating and working with business, technology users to create holistic solutions.
• 4+ years of experience using end to end Human centered design-HCD techniques including design, research, and usability.
• 4+ years of experience in ADA Compliance.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems.
• Knowledge of using technology Storyboarding tools like Adobe creative suite, Sketch and Envision.
• UI/UX design or web developer certifications & training.
• Previous experience of the Electric and Gas Utility Industry.
• Exposure to front end user frameworks (Vue.js, Angularjs, Reactjs, jQuery etc.).
• Familiarity with screen reader tools is a plus (Voice Over, JAWS, NVDA).
• Experience working within agile ceremonies and methodologies.
• Working with fullstack application development teams.
