Job Description
Enterprise Management Center / Global Enterprise Management (EMC/GEM) IT Facing Service Desk (IFSD) provides 24/7 mission and infrastructure monitoring, notification, administrative support, logging, ticketing and reporting for supported systems. As a Telecommunications Technician III with GDIT you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter by providing 24/7 mission and infrastructure monitoring, notification, administrative support, logging, ticketing and reporting for supported systems.
This includes using ISP‑provided and GW GES tools, databases, displays, logs, SOP documents and KB articles to identify and validate event data; taking SOP/KB specified administrative action; maintaining ticket‑based event tracking; and providing timely notification and routing of issues to support teams as required. You will coordinate with ISP and GW GES watch staff for situational awareness and support actions, with customers and support personnel to provide notification and response to event activity, and perform router and switch updates in support of security actions.
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications systems.
- Provide 24/7 mission and infrastructure monitoring, notification, administrative support, logging, ticketing, and reporting for supported systems.
- Coordinate with ISP and GW GES watch staff for situational awareness and support actions, and with customers and support personnel to provide notification and response to event activity.
- Perform router and switch updates in support of security actions.
- Related experience: 3+ years.
- Education:
Associate of Arts or Associate of Science. - Certifications:
Security+ (IAT Level
2) or higher;
CompTIA‑Security+. - Security Clearance:
Active TS/SCI with polygraph. - Required Skills:
Communication, problem‑solving, group problem solving, telecommunications. - Location:
On‑site. - US Citizenship Required.
- Shift: Tuesdays through Saturdays, 9 p.m.–5 a.m.
The likely hourly rate for this position is between $48.09 and $65.07. Salary will be determined based on experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements and may fall outside this range.
