Cyber + AI Intern

What you’ll work on

• Build tools and scripts to automate security tasks across engineering and SOC workflows
• Prototype AI-driven use cases such as alert triage, enrichment, investigation support, and automation
• Support security event analysis, including triaging alerts and investigating patterns
• Identify opportunities to reduce noise, improve detection quality, and streamline operations
• Work with engineers to integrate AI into existing security systems and processes
• Contribute to the improvement of SOC playbooks, workflows, and standard operating procedures
• Assist with designing scalable, AI-enabled security solutions across the environment

• Senior or graduate student currently enrolled at a university or college pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, AI/ML, or a related field
• Availability to work Monday through Friday between 8am and 5pm CDT
• Hybrid schedule: 2 days a week in office at our Global HQ (281 N/Redland Road)
• Comfortable writing code (Python preferred)
• Basic understanding of security fundamentals (networking, endpoints, identity)
• Familiarity with logs, alerts, or monitoring concepts
• Interest in applying AI to real‑world problems, not just theory
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and ability to turn ideas into working solutions
• Nice to have: experience with APIs, scripting, or automation (Python, Power Shell, etc.)
• Nice to have: exposure to LLMs, agents, or AI tooling (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)
• Nice to have: familiarity with SIEM or security tools (Splunk, Sentinel, EDR, etc.)
• Nice to have: exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Nice to have: experience with labs, CTFs, or hands‑on security projects

• You build something that reduces manual work or improves efficiency
• You help reduce noise and improve signal in the SOC
• You automate at least one workflow used by the team
• You prototype ideas that can be expanded into real capabilities
• You ask good questions and bring new ways of thinking to the team
