We deliver full-spectrum cybersecurity, digital transformation, cloud migration, Dev Sec Ops , and emerging technology Research and Development (R&D) solutions across the Department of War (DoW), Intelligence Community (IC), Federal civilian, State, Local and Education (SLED), commercial, and international markets.

Location

Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) Randolph AFB, San Antonio, TX. Position is remote with mandatory on-site support for weekly meetings and mission requirements. Occasional travel may be required for demonstrations, testing, or Government workshops.

Clearance Requirements

CAC Eligible; must be able to successfully pass Public Trust requirements (No facility clearance required).

Essential Role and Responsibilities

RMF / ATO Sustainment

  • Maintain one ATO for multiple cloud environments and one ATO for on-prem virtual reality systems
  • Develop, manage, and update RMF Steps 1-7 artifacts
  • Sustain eMASS packages, SSPs, POA&Ms, Security Plans, and Continuous Monitoring strategies
  • Coordinate with Government ISSMs, ISSOs, SCVs, and PMs
  • Ensure accreditation documentation remains compliant with Air Force and DoD cybersecurity standards

Cybersecurity Operations

  • Conduct continuous monitoring, incident response, and incident reporting
  • Execute vulnerability and risk assessments
  • Perform ACAS, Nessus, HBSS, SCAP, and STIG-based compliance actions
  • Support IAVA remediation, patching, firewall validation, and user access governance
  • Investigate and resolve security vulnerabilities and technical issues

Strategic Compliance

  • Develop SOPs, QCPs, risk management plans, and security documentation
  • Ensure compliance with NIST SP 800-171, NIST 800-53, DoDI 8510.01, DFARS, and DoD 8570
  • Support third-party software security reviews and vendor risk management
  • Deliver Monthly Status Reports and PMR cybersecurity updates
Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Minimum 8 years of cybersecurity / RMF / ISSO experience OR Master’s degree with 4+ years direct experience
  • Proven experience with multi-cloud ATO environments
  • Proven experience supporting on-prem ATO for simulation or VR systems
  • Strong working knowledge of NIST continuous monitoring
  • Hands-on experience with ACAS, HBSS, Nessus, SCAP, and STIG Viewer
Certifications

Minimum Required

  • CompTIA Security+
  • DoD 8570 / AFMAN 17-1303 compliant baseline certification requirements

Preferred

  • CISSP
  • CISM
Required Skills
  • Ability to rapidly onboard and immediately support mission requirements
  • Ability to maintain all required certifications throughout employment
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain CAC access
  • Ability to successfully complete Public Trust screening requirements
  • Capability to operate effectively in both remote and on-site environments
  • Strong ability to deliver work products in accordance with PWS timelines and quality standards
  • Flexibility to support evolving mission, cybersecurity, and Government requirements
  • Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • DoD / Air Force ISSO, ISSM, or RMF experience preferred
  • Cybersecurity professional with strong ATO sustainment background
  • Able to quickly assume operational responsibilities with minimal ramp-up
  • Highly organized with strong documentation and reporting discipline
  • Mission-first mindset with flexibility for evolving operational requirements
