YSI is seeking a Risk Management Specialist to serve as the lead for Risk Management Framework (RMF) implementation, compliance oversight, and Authorization to Operate (ATO) sustainment activities in support of the PTT cybersecurity environment.

This role is responsible for ensuring all systems maintain continuous compliance with DoD cybersecurity requirements, managing security documentation and artifacts, and coordinating with Authorizing Officials (AO), Security Control Validators (SCV), and program stakeholders.

The Risk Management Specialist ensures that all cybersecurity activities align with RMF processes, NIST guidance, and applicable federal and DoD regulations.

Job Responsibilities
  • Leads the development, implementation, and maintenance of cybersecurity policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures, ensuring alignment with RMF and organizational requirements.
  • The role manages the eMASS repository as the authoritative source for system security documentation and is responsible for supporting ATO sustainment activities, including Annual Security Reviews (ASRs) and reauthorization efforts.
  • The specialist oversees the onboarding of new systems and applications by ensuring proper RMF documentation, security control implementation, and evidence collection, while managing the Request for Change (RFC) and Cybersecurity Impact Analysis (CIA) processes to evaluate and document system changes.
  • Validates security controls, supports risk acceptance decisions, and ensures compliance with DISA STIGs and vulnerability management processes.
  • Developing contingency planning scenarios and leading annual tabletop exercises, maintaining Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), and ensuring timely
  • Provides cybersecurity compliance oversight across all program activities, supports audits and assessments, and develops SOPs and documentation required to maintain audit readiness.
  • Ensures compliance with universal cyber requirements, including CMMC Level 1 and safeguarding of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), and is responsible for developing and maintaining System Security Plans (SSPs) in accordance with NIST SP 800-171.
