SQA Analyst

Akkodis is seeking an SQA Analyst for a Contract with a client in San Antonio, TX. The ideal candidate will support delivery of high-quality banking applications by executing structured, manual QA testing across desktop and mobile platforms in a Waterfall SDLC environment.

Rate Range: $40/hour to $45/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

SQA Analyst Job Responsibilities include:

• Execute structured manual QA testing for desktop and mobile banking applications within a Waterfall SDLC environment.
• Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, test scripts, and regression suites for large-scale financial systems.
• Perform integration, system, UAT, performance, and multi-phase testing across multiple applications.
• Track, manage, and report defects using test management tools (e.g., HP Quality Center), ensuring timely resolution.
• Collaborate with business users, developers, and project teams during requirements and design reviews.
• Provide detailed test status reporting, analyze test results, and ensure releases meet quality, timeline, and compliance standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in management information systems (MIS), Computer Science, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 5+ years of total QA experience, including at least 3 years in a medium to large financial (banking) institution.
• Strong hands-on experience with manual QA testing in a Waterfall SDLC (Agile-only backgrounds will not be considered).
• Proven experience testing desktop and mobile banking applications, including test planning, defect tracking (HP Quality Center), regression testing, and multi-phase testing in large-scale financial environments.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $45.00 per hour
