- Strong understanding of investment products:
- Mutual Funds, Managed Accounts, Brokerage, Retirement, Trusts
- Knowledge of investment lifecycle:
- Account onboarding, funding, trading, settlements, reporting
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance expectations:
- Client disclosures, data retention, audit, vendor transitions
- Ability to translate business intent into platform modernization goals
Product Ownership & Delivery Skills (Must Have)
- Strong Product Ownership / DPO fundamentals
- Backlog ownership, prioritization, value articulation
- Ability to manage multiple Agile squads / ARTs
- Experience working in scaled Agile environments
- comfortable with trade off decisions (scope vs speed vs risk)
Stakeholder & Vendor Management (Must Have)
- Ability to work with:
- Business stakeholders
- Architecture and security teams
- Multiple vendors and internal platforms
- Strong decision facilitation and expectation management
- Clear and confident communication with senior leadership
Preferred skills - working knowledge (not coding depth required) of:
- Cloud native platforms
- Microservices & APIs
- Event driven architecture (Kafka / messaging)
- Understanding of Dev Ops, CI/CD, and release constraints
Detailed Job Description
Digital Product Owner (DPO)
Key Objectives of the Role
- Modernize legacy investment platforms into scalable, resilient, and compliant digital solutions
- Balance business continuity and transformation during multi year modernization programs
- Maximize business value realization while managing risk, cost, and execution complexity
- Act as the single accountable owner for prioritization and trade off decisions
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Ownership & Value Delivery
" Own and communicate the product vision and roadmap for investment platform modernization
2. Investment Domain Leadership
- Provide strong functional leadership across investment products and journeys, including:
- Client onboarding, funding, trading, settlement, reporting, disclosures
- Work closely with business stakeholders to ensure modernization aligns with client experience and regulatory expectations
3. Modernization & Transformation Execution
- Lead platform modernization initiatives such as:
- Ensure modernization designs are aligned to enterprise architecture and security standards
4. Agile & Scaled Delivery Management
- Own backlog and delivery outcomes across multiple Agile squads / ARTs
- Partner with RTEs, Scrum Masters, and Engineering Leads to remove impediments
- Continuously assess delivery health, risks, and dependencies
