What You Will Do
The Junior RMF / Cybersecurity Analyst provides foundational support for federal cybersecurity compliance, A&A, and audit activities. This role supports documentation development, evidence collection, audit tracking, and operational RMF tasks while building expertise in federal cybersecurity frameworks and processes.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with preparation of RMF documentation including SSPs, control matrices, and POA&Ms under senior guidance.
- Support audit evidence collection, organization, and tracking activities.
- Maintain action logs, audit trackers, and status reports.
- Participate in A&A and audit meetings and document meeting minutes.
- Support maintenance of compliance and evidence repositories.
- Assist with POA&M updates and remediation tracking activities.
- Travel Required:
Up to 10%. - Clearance Required:
Ability to obtain Public Trust; candidates with an active Public Trust or suitability and maintain an active HHS/NIH clearance are preferred.
- Minimum of TWO (2) years of experience in cybersecurity, IT compliance, audit support, or risk management.
- Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY and maintain an active HHS/NIH clearance are preferred.
- Foundational experience in cybersecurity, IT compliance, audit support, or risk management.
- Basic understanding of NIST RMF or federal cybersecurity concepts.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Ability to work in structured, process driven environments.
- Willingness to learn and grow within federal cybersecurity programs.
- Coursework or training in cybersecurity, information assurance, or IT.
- Familiarity with NIST SP 800 53 control families.
- Prior exposure to audits or compliance support activities.
- Entry level certification (Security+, ITIL, or similar).
$85,000.00-$. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
