Smartsheet Platform Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in San Antonio, TX seeking a Smartsheet Platform Engineer to support and enhance an enterprise Smartsheet environment. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role ideal for someone who enjoys building solutions, optimizing workflows, and improving how teams manage and track work. In this role, the Engineer will partner with business stakeholders to evolve an existing Smartsheet platform, implement integrations, and help scale usage across multiple teams.

Responsibililties:

* Optimize and clean up existing environments to improve usability, performance, and reporting accuracy

* Support backend configuration and ongoing platform improvements

* Implement and maintain integrations between Smartsheet and external systems (e.g., Jira or similar tools)

* Leverage features such as Data Shuttle to streamline data movement and reporting

* Improve overall system connectivity and operational efficiency

* Manage user access, permissions, and overall platform administration

* Establish governance standards and best practices to support scalability

* Improve visibility into active work across teams through structured reporting

* Develop templates and frameworks to support consistent usage across departments

* Help expand Smartsheet adoption by creating repeatable processes and solutions

* Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business needs

* Translate requirements into scalable Smartsheet solutions

* Provide user and admin training to support adoption and long-term success

Build and enhance Smartsheet solutions, including:

* Workflows and automation

* Dashboards and reporting

* Workspace structure and organization

REQUIREMENTS:

* Hands-on experience building and optimizing Smartsheet solutions

* Experience managing platform administration and user governance

Strong experience with:

* Workflow automation and process design

* Dashboard and report development

* Workspace organization and data management

Experience with :

* Smartsheet Data Shuttle

* System integrations (e.g., Jira, or similar tools)

Preferred Experience:

* Experience scaling Smartsheet across multiple teams or business units

* Background working in project-driven or PMO environments

* Experience supporting user adoption, training, or change management

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
