Responsibilities and Qualifications
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cybersecurity and IT Project Management:
Accountable for the end-to-end management of cybersecurity and IT projects, emphasizing alignment with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and other compliance frameworks. - Documentation and Compliance:
Creates functional and technical documentation. Ensures project disciplines are followed, with strict adherence to RMF and FISMA guidelines. - Resource Management:
Oversees fiscal, operational, administrative, and human resources aspects of the project. - Government Liaison:
Serves as the primary liaison and point of escalation between the Contractor and Government entities, facilitating issue resolution and contractual discussions. - Agile Framework Coordination:
Coordinates and leads Agile ceremonies, ensuring effective communication with all stakeholders, including the Contracting Officer and Contracting Officer’s Representative.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be able to successfully pass a NACI background check.
- Certification:
Must have an active IAT Level 3 (CISSP, CISA, GCED, GCIH, CASP+, GICSP, etc.) - Experience:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in RMF in complex network and systems environments. - Knowledge and
Skills:
Extensive knowledge of cybersecurity policies, directives, and regulatory guidance. Proficient in technologies such as cloud computing environments, cybersecurity infrastructure, forensic analytics, and DoD Public Key Infrastructure. - Experience in developing and managing Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&M) and familiarity with RMF workflow tools like Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship.
We are currently recruiting a Cyber Engineer for our IMCOM G9 Technology Services' project, with a requirement to possess and provide comprehensive knowledge of the seven steps associated with the Risk Management Framework (RMF), and the Federal Information Systems Modernization Act (FISMA). This key role is not only pivotal in cybersecurity engineering but also in ensuring strict adherence to RMF and FISMA within the IMCOM G9 project’s scope.
You, as the Cyber Engineer will be instrumental in supporting the Family, Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (FMWR) mission, crucial for the welfare of Soldiers and Families in various garrisons and FMWR facilities. Your role involves a customer-focused approach, where you will be responsible for delivering precise cyber-related input. This includes the effective and efficient documentation of artifacts such as Security Plans, Implementation Plans, and Plan of Action & Milestones, along with providing the Fund with insightful management reports.
Your ability to adapt to operational changes is essential for this position. As a Cyber Engineer, you will ensure that all cybersecurity activities are in strict alignment with the requirements of the IT systems, adhering to government standards and policies related to cybersecurity and RMF. You will serve as the principal interface between the cybersecurity team and government representatives, ensuring project alignment with the strategic objectives of IMCOM G9.
Your responsibilities will encompass not only managing and coordinating cybersecurity initiatives but also overseeing functions from technical support to project execution. This role requires personnel who are fully trained or experienced in using RMF workflow tools such as the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS).
This position demands a high level of expertise in IT project management, particularly in environments that require adherence to strict cybersecurity protocols and compliance frameworks. Your efforts will be instrumental in driving the project to successful completion, upholding the mission to support Soldiers and their Families effectively.
