Service Now Developer

Job Family: SAAS/PAAS/Cloud Application Development, SAAS/PAAS/Cloud Consulting, Software Development & Support

What You Will Do:

  • Help translate complex business requirements into technical designs and solutions using Service Now.
  • Lead the development of Service Now applications, ensuring alignment with business objectives and best practices.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to other Service Now developers.
  • Develop, configure, and enhance Service Now applications.
  • Stay current with Service Now products, features, and industry trends to drive innovation.
  • Conduct technical assessments and provide recommendations for improving existing Service Now implementations.
  • Conduct reviews of functionality developed by Service Now development team and perform unit, system, and integration testing.
  • Debug and fix technical problems.
  • Support the development of detailed technical and functional documentation.
  • Provide demonstrations of developed applications to product owners and end users.
  • Participate in platform upgrade activities, including regression testing and reconfiguration.
  • Ensure the security, scalability, and maintainability of Service Now solutions.
  • What You Will Need:

    • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DHS "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred.
    • US Citizenship is contractually required for this role.
    • Minimum of THREE (3) years of professional experience.
    • Ability to commute to client or corporate offices depending on the need up to 3 times per week.
    • A bachelor's Degree is required.
    • Experience with Software Development Lifecycle methodologies, deliverables, and controls.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Expertise in Service Now Modules such as GRC, SPM, and ITSM, as well as with App Engine and Scoped Apps.
    • Experience with web services integration, specifically Mid-Server, SOAP, and REST, preferred.
    • Strong experience with scripting (JavaScript, Glide, AngularJS), Flow Designer, and Integration Hub.
    • Experience working in an Agile environment.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and establish rapport with a diverse array of people at all levels.
    • Ability to self-direct, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks and demands.
    • Heightened attention to detail when developing technical solutions.

    What Would Be Nice To Have:

    • Experience with Service Now automated testing framework (ATF).
    • Ability to commute to client or corporate offices within the Washington, DC metropolitan area 2-3 days per week.
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Information Technology or Business.
    • Service Now certifications (e.g., CSA, CIS, CAD)
    • Experience with web services integration, specifically Mid-Server, SOAP, and REST preferred.
    • Agile, SCRUM or SAFe certifications.
    • General understanding of financial management aspects (i.e., financial operations, financial innovation, internal control, risk management, etc.), particularly in a federal environment.
    • Candidates with an ACTIVE "SECRET" or higher-level clearance are preferred.

    The annual salary range for this position is $-$. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
