About the Role
As a Sr. Cloud Security Engineer you will drive the design, implementation, and automation of security controls for Alpha Sense’s cloud infrastructure. You will work autonomously, prioritizing initiatives that improve security posture, and collaborate with engineering, product, and incident‑response teams.

• Develop and automate security controls for cloud infrastructure.
• Maintain, integrate, and scale cloud security tooling.
• Investigate and remediate security vulnerabilities in cloud infrastructure.
• Build access controls across cloud infrastructure.
• Partner with incident‑response teams to build detections and mitigate security incidents.
• Develop security standards for other engineering teams.
• Work with compliance teams to ensure adherence to frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR.
• Conduct architecture reviews, threat modelling, and code reviews to identify security risks.

• 8+ years of experience in cloud security.
• 4+ years of hands‑on experience with containerised environments.
• Excellent understanding of AWS, Kubernetes, and IaC solutions.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages.
• Experience with cloud security posture management tooling.

• Nice to have:
  Experience with Azure and GCP.
• Experience integrating security into CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops workflows.
• Hands‑on experience with threat modelling and security architecture reviews.
• Hands‑on experience translating compliance requirements into technical controls.
• Contributions to security communities or open‑source projects.
• Relevant security certifications (e.g., CKS).

Base salary: $161,000—$221,000 USD (plus performance bonus, equity, and benefits).
