The Windows System Engineer, Tier II will be designated to support requirements that cross IT activities within the client environment. This resource will possess expertise in Windows Server, virtualization, and IT security.
Qualifications- 3+ years of experience deploying and managing enterprise-level Windows Server and Virtualization solutions from the planning to the sustainment phase in a DOD healthcare environment.
- Advanced knowledge and experience in the enterprise level design and deployment of technologies such as Windows Server Operating Systems (2016, 2019, 2022), Storage Area Networks (SAN), VMware vSphere, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix Xen Server, Internet Information Services (IIS), Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Active Directory Domain Services, and Microsoft Azure.
- Advanced knowledge and experience implementing and sustaining security solutions and requirements in a DOD environment such as DOD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Microsoft Group Policy, Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), Risk Management Framework (RMF), Splunk, Trellix Endpoint Security System (ESS).
- Active Secret Clearance (or above)
- Bachelor's Degree in a computer-science related field is preferred
- 5+ years of relevant IT experience
- Active CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent IAT II Certification or Above) is required
Physical Requirements
Employees must be able to sit at a workstation for extended periods of time. They should be able to use their hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, as well as reach with their hands and arms. The ability to talk, see, and hear is also required. Employees must be capable of working on a desktop or laptop computer for long durations.
Occasionally, they may need to lift and move moderate amounts of weight, typically no more than 20 pounds. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
