Description
Join a mission where your cyber intelligence expertise shapes the fight. Leidos is seeking a Cyber Intelligence Instructor/Developer to support the United States Air Force in San Antonio, TX. The selected candidate provides professional military instruction for the 39th Information Operations Squadron (Detachment
1), 16th Air Force, at Kelly Annex, Joint Base San Antonio Lackland (JBSA), on behalf of Air Combat Command and United States Cyber Command, instructing the Cyber Threat Intelligence Analysis Course (CTIAC). A current TS/SCI security clearance is required on day 1.
The CTIAC instructor develops and delivers course material for DOW personnel to fulfill Cyber Intelligence Formal Training Unit requirements, prepares course materials and training exercises, and keeps curriculums up to date with technology, systems, and tools in accordance with USCYBERCOM requirements. The instructor also facilitates academic tests and student creation of pre-mission briefings, meeting CTIAC course requirements. CTIAC module lessons cover topics from USCYBERCOM and National Cyber Strategy to Cyber Threat Intelligence Analysis, Joint and Cyber Collection Management, and Joint and Cyber Targeting Processes.
The program runs over a 5-week course with four to five offerings per calendar year. Off-course weeks are used to review lessons learned and prepare for upcoming CTIAC courses. Instructors must sustain qualification standards per USAF and 39th IOS policies, including completion of the Instructor Systems Design Course within the first year of hire. CTIAC instructors should be versed in current USCYBERCOM Cyber Threat Intelligence Operations and related processes and tools, including both classified and unclassified holdings to share best practices with students.
Responsibilities
- Provide course development and instruction for the Cyber Threat Intelligence Analysis Course (CTIAC) for DOW personnel.
- Prepare and update training materials, exercises, and assessments aligned with USCYBERCOM requirements.
- Deliver five-week CTIAC course modules, covering topics from cyber threat intelligence operations to targeting processes.
- Coordinate with USAF and USCYBERCOM leadership to ensure adherence to curriculum requirements and instructor standards.
- Maintain CTIAC instructor qualifications per 39th IOS guidelines, including completing required courses within specified timelines.
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI security clearance on day 1.
- Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience. Additional related experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Must complete or have completed:
1) CTIAC training and graduation before duties begin;
2) USAF Instructor Methodology Course (IMC) before duties begin;
3) 2.5-week online Instructor Systems Design Course (ISD) within the first year;
4) Attain and sustain a Qualification Evaluation Rating (Q2 or higher) as a USAF certified instructor per the 39th IOS guidelines.
