Department of Information Systems and CybersecurityThe Department of Information Systems and Cybersecurity consists of 16 tenured and tenure‑track faculty members (including 2 adjoint faculty), 24 fixed‑term track faculty members, and over 35 part‑time adjunct instructors, supporting an enrollment of 2500+ students. We offer undergraduate degrees in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, and Applied Cyber Analytics; minors in digital forensics, cybersecurity, information systems, and network and data center management;
graduate degrees in Information Technology (with an optional concentration in Cybersecurity and Cyber Analytics), and Data Analytics (in partnership with the Statistics & Data Science department); and a PhD degree in Information Technology with concentrations in traditional information systems, cybersecurity, and analytics/artificial intelligence.
The department maintains strong collaborations with prominent university and college research centers and hubs, including UT San Antonio’s National Security Collaboration Center, Center of Data Science, the Cyber Manufacturing Innovation Institute, the Institute for Cyber Security, the Center for Infrastructure Assurance and Security, the MATRIX AI Consortium, and the Open Cloud Institute. Faculty have access to state‑of‑the‑art research laboratory resources and high‑performance computing resources.
