Finance Lead, SAP S​/4HANA , SAP Ariba

We are seeking an experienced Finance Lead to oversee the financial aspects of an SAP S/4

HANA and SAP Ariba implementation. The Finance Lead will be responsible for financial process migration and standardization, data integrity, reporting, integrations, compliance, and overall financial transformation.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Process Migration & Standardization

• Lead the migration and standardization of customer master and revenue master data.
• Oversee migration of billing processes, billing rules, invoicing, and revenue charges using S/4
  
  HANA standard controls.
• Manage the re-establishment and enhancement of interfaces with upstream systems generating revenue transactions.
• Supervise migration of dunning and correspondence processes, including open items, correspondence rules, and receivables controls.
• Enable streamlined payment processing and cash application through SAP S/4
  
  HANA integrations.
• Strengthen revenue reporting, reconciliation, and financial transparency through the SAP Universal Journal and SAP analytics.
• Ensure robust data governance and embedded analytics to support effective financial decision-making.
• Maintain data integrity throughout migration and transformation activities.
• Collaborate with the IBM Project Manager to develop and manage the integrated project plan, scope, schedule, RAID, and dependencies.
• Participate in governance meetings and status reporting in collaboration with COSA PM.
• Coordinate finance work streams and conduct deliverable quality reviews.
• Drive cutover planning, go-live readiness, and command center operations.
• Manage deliverable acceptance workflows with COSA.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

• Ensure compliance with TSLAC, 2 CFR 200, and IRC retention policies, including File Net document storage requirements.
• Support audit activities, financial controls, and non-functional security validation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable public-sector financial policies and data governance standards.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Engage with COSA stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and the overall transformation roadmap.
• Provide executive oversight and direction for IBM delivery teams.
• Support escalations and remove strategic roadblocks.
• Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and financial transformation outcomes to senior stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Extensive experience in financial management and ERP implementations.
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4
  
  HANA and SAP Ariba.
• Strong understanding of public-sector financial processes and best practices.
• Experience with Funds Management and Grants Management.
• Proven experience managing complex financial migrations, integrations, and data transformation initiatives.
• Strong project management skills, including experience developing and managing integrated project plans.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of compliance requirements, financial controls, data governance, and audit processes.
• Experience supporting cutover, go-live readiness, and post-go-live command center operations is highly preferred.
