Senior Network Engineer – CONUS
We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support a government customer in the CONUS region. The role requires mastery of networking protocols, security, network design, and management.
Responsibilities- Support the medical mission of the DoD and address complex LAN/WLAN/WAN requirements.
- Identify and resolve large, complex network problems, research network‑level issues using management tools.
- Provide high‑level installation, configuration, documentation, management and troubleshooting of LAN/WLAN/WAN equipment.
- Act as the premier Network Specialist and subject‑matter expert for this contract.
- Serve as the CONUS and global point of contact for network issues, configuration management, interconnection, addressing and routing.
- Advise and consult with government staff and contractor representatives on LAN/WLAN/WAN design, deployment and management.
- Lead network specialists and internal/external teams to resolve network issues.
- Resolve technical issues with routing protocols using diagnostics and tools such as Orion Solar Winds, ARMIS, Ansible, MIB, MRTG.
- Maintain LAN/WLAN–WAN security by configuring firewalls, VPNs, IDSs.
- Document changes and coordinate with NetMOD Network Standards Team.
- Evaluate and recommend vendor products for DoD and MTF requirements.
- Develop policies and procedures for LAN/WLAN/WAN operations.
- Lead or participate in projects as needed.
- Mastery of TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, BGP, OSPF, PPP, HDLC, Ethernet, FDDI, ATM, optical time domain reflectometers, cable testers, network sniffers, and cable standards.
- Experience with routed, switched, shared LAN environments and Windows Active Directory, Unix, OpenVMS.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline plus 5 years of directly related experience; or technical/vocational school completion plus 10 years of experience.
- DoD 8570 IAM III certified CSG: CISSP.
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
- Experience with DoD Health Care Information Systems.
- Expertise in Windows networks, Cisco systems, and Orion Solar Winds; knowledge of zero‑trust architectures desired.
- Leadership experience managing geographically dispersed teams across multiple time zones.
- Strong verbal and written communication with government officials, medical professionals and technical personnel.

Target salary range: $110,000 – $150,000. Salary will be based on education, skills, experience and contract parameters.
Work Authorization / Security ClearanceUS Citizen, Active Secret clearance.
