We are looking for a capable resource to coordinate, ranging from simple activities to more complex plans. This role will provide on-site assistance to end-users within the organisation’s desktop computing environment in a timely and accurate fashion to ensure optimal service delivery.

About the Role
Axiom Technologies is seeking an experienced Desktop Support Engineer (Dispatch/Part-Time Role) based in San Antonio, TX, USA. This Dispatch/Part-Time, independent contractor role involves providing both on-site and remote support for end users while efficiently managing assignments and coordinating service requests.
You’ll serve as the go-to technical resource for desktop support needs, ensuring the timely resolution of IT issues and smooth coordination among field technicians and internal teams.
- Provide on-site desktop and IT support for end users at the client location.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware, operating systems, and enterprise software applications.
- Support network connectivity issues, including LAN troubleshooting.
- Assist with device setup, replacement, and hardware installations.
- Perform basic network troubleshooting using console access when required.
- Document service activities and communicate updates to the service delivery team.
- Follow client IT policies and security procedures while performing onsite tasks
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and desktop environments
- Experience in hardware troubleshooting and replacement
- Basic understanding of networking (LAN connectivity, switches, routers)
- Ability to diagnose and resolve desktop, printer, and peripheral issues
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently in onsite support environments
