Location: National Military Command Center (NMCC), Pentagon

Work Location: 100% onsite

Hours: Monday–Friday, core hours between 6:00 AM–4:00 PM

Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen

• Minimum of 4 years of overall experience.

• Extensive hands-on experience building and managing VMware environments
  .
• Extensive experience with:
• VMware ESXi
• VMware vSphere 7.x / 8.x
• VMware vCenter
• VMware clusters
• Experience building VMware environments from the ground up

• Experience configuring:
• VMware High Availability (HA)
• Host networking
• Virtual switches
• Distributed switches
• Experience implementing and managing enterprise VMware deployments.
• Experience supporting VMware clusters across multi-server enterprise networks.

• Experience with:
• Server racking
• Power cabling
• Network cabling
• ESXi hypervisor installation and configuration
• Experience integrating servers with Dell Power Vault ME5 Series SAN storage arrays or comparable enterprise SAN infrastructure.
• Experience with:
• Fiber-optic storage connectivity
• Direct-Attach Copper (DAC)
• Isolated backend storage fabrics
• Block‑level shared storage
• iSCSI
• Dedicated storage VLANs
• Storage multipathing
• MTU 9000
• Shared storage architectures
• Ability to design and maintain resilient host-to-array connectivity.
• Experience isolating storage traffic from production network traffic.

• Proven experience performing physical and/or virtual server migrations.
• Experience performing migrations between virtualization platforms.
• Experience migrating Microsoft Hyper-V workloads to VMware vSphere
  .
• Experience planning and executing migrations while minimizing:
• Downtime
• Experience validating systems following migration.
• Experience migrating workloads into VMware clustered SAN environments
  .

• Senior-level experience administering:
• Windows Server 2019
• Windows Server 2022
• Active Directory
• Group Policy Objects
• Experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting:
• Organizational Units
• Group Policy
• Security policies
• Security baselines
• Experience administering:
• CentOS Linux

• Direct experience hardening systems in accordance with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
• Windows Server

• Understanding of:

• Security compliance
• Ability to work closely with cybersecurity teams to identify and minimize risk.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Veeam Backup & Replication
