Position SummaryThe IR Graduate Student Worker will support the staff of the Office of Institutional Research with the completion of various projects which may include general surveys, the Institutional Profile Book, the maintenance of the electronic records, and other special data analysis projects.
Essential FunctionsThis Graduate Student Worker will support the Institutional Research staff by:
- Preparing survey results for analysis
- Providing data support for various projects submitted to IR
- Maintaining appropriate communications between UIW personnel and the Institutional Research director and staff, as appropriate.
Skills and Abilities
- Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel, etc.
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Be able to work as part of a collaborative team
- Demonstrated experience working in an office setting
- Demonstrated experience working with data sets, data quality, and data visualizations
- Be detail-oriented, self-directed, and willing to learn
- Knowledge of data collection and data integrity
- Knowledgable with statistical methods, research, and analysis techniques
- Knowledge with business intelligence software, such as Power BI or Tableau
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
- Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA .
Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student in a graduate-level program at the University of the Incarnate Word.
