Job Summary
At Sand Tech Solutions we are committed to "Enabling Success" of our client’s missions. As such, we are searching for a skilled Force Development team member in support of our DoD customer. The Force Development team will build processes, manage requirements, and improve governance with dedicated cyber-operator expertise, data analytics capacity, and future-focused training strategy capacity required to mature the function.
The ideal candidate will serve as Force Development’s embedded cyber operations SME responsible for translating operational cyber requirements into training priorities, capability gaps, and investment recommendations. The ideal candidate will also build and sustain the Wing’s training data ecosystem by turning training requirements, funding decisions, execution status, and completion outcomes into decision-quality analytics. The new team member will also need to anticipate future training requirements and build the customer’s long-range training roadmap to keep pace with cyber mission evolution, emerging technologies, and new operational requirements.
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Advise Force Development Chief on cyber operations, weapon-system training requirements, operational qualification needs, and cyber workforce capability gaps
- Validate whether cyber training requests are tied to mission requirements, crew positions, work roles, weapon systems, certifications, readiness gaps, or emerging operational risk
- Serve as primary liaison to Operational Training
- Build and maintain relationships with cyber-SMEs
- Support DCWF/8140 mapping for training requirements
- Identify duplicative, outdated, low-value, or misaligned cyber training requests
- Convert operator needs into clear training requirements, risk statements, and investment recommendations
- Develop and maintain Wing training dashboards
- Track training requirements from intake through validation, prioritization, funding, execution, completion, and post-training ROI
- Integrate data from training trackers, workflows, SANS voucher management, funding data, readiness inputs, and unit-provided outcomes
- Produce monthly training investment reports
- Identify stalled requests, execution risk, unfunded requirements, recurring capability gaps, and trends by unit, mission area, work role, and training type
- Build visual products that show how training investments support mission capability, readiness, compliance, and modernization
- Establish standard data fields so future training requests can be analyzed consistently
- Cyber background or sufficient operational familiarity to understand what the data means in mission context
- Develop and maintain a training modernization roadmap
- Track emerging cyber mission areas, technologies, PMO fielding timelines, weapon-system changes, DCWF updates, 8140 requirements, Zero Trust, cloud, automation, AI, data platforms, CSSP/CORA expansion, NGG, and other future training drivers
- Coordinate with Operational Training, units, PMOs, vendors, and unit SMEs to identify future training demand
- Identify where current training pipelines are lagging mission evolution
- Build annual and multi-year training strategies that connect future mission requirements to funding, workforce development, and readiness
