Blu Omega is seeking an Enterprise Architect, Jr to support a federal program focused on enterprise architecture and IT modernization. This role operates within a hybrid/remote environment and is responsible for supporting current and future-state architecture development in a mission-driven setting. The position requires experience supporting enterprise architecture, systems engineering, or related areas within a government or regulated environment.
The program supports a DoD organization to reduce IT costs and improve operational efficiency through digitized enterprise architecture products and improved IT portfolio visibility.
Key DetailsLocation:
San Antonio, TX / Hybrid (support at government and contractor facilities as required; travel may be monthly or quarterly and could initially occur approximately 1–2 times per month based on customer needs)

- Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of system architectures using Cameo Enterprise Architect tools under the guidance of mid and senior architects
- Develop foundational SysML modeling skills to construct basic behavioral, structural, and parametric diagrams supporting Unified Architecture Framework (UAF) viewpoints
- Assist with the creation and standardization of Minimal Viable Architecture products for new technology and mission requirements
- Map and trace stakeholder requirements to system model elements within Cameo to ensure complete design coverage and support documentation generation
- Help facilitate communication between architecture teams and client subject matter experts by preparing model walkthroughs and sprint review documentation
- Help identify business process gaps, system redundancies, data duplication, and opportunities for application rationalization
- 1–3 years of experience in enterprise architecture, systems engineering, business analysis, IT consulting, data architecture, technology modernization, or a related field
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, business, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Foundational knowledge of enterprise architecture concepts, system life-cycle management, requirements analysis, and technology portfolio management
- Familiarity with modeling relationships among mission objectives, capabilities, processes, applications, systems, and data
- Exposure to one or more architecture or modeling tools, such as Cameo, Magic Draw, Enterprise Architect, or similar platforms
- Working knowledge of, or strong interest in developing expertise in, DoDAF, UAF, SysML, or related architecture frameworks
- Experience creating diagrams, process flows, requirements matrices, technical documentation, or other structured analytical products
- Familiarity with Agile delivery concepts, sprint planning, backlog management, or Jira
- Strong written, verbal, analytical, and visual communication skills
- Ability to organize ambiguous information, identify patterns and gaps, and present practical recommendations
- Ability to work collaboratively with government stakeholders, subject matter experts, engineers, developers, data professionals, and mission users
- Ability to obtain and maintain any contract-required security access and comply with applicable CUI, cybersecurity, and information-management requirements
- Experience supporting a federal, DoD, Air Force, or other regulated client
