Senior Technical Service Representative

JOB DESCRIPTION

Finish Works is seeking a highly experienced Senior Technical Service Representative to support key customer accounts through technical expertise, relationship management, and proactive service delivery.

This position serves as a critical link between customers and the business, ensuring product performance, resolving technical challenges, and supporting strategic growth initiatives.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all service activities within assigned accounts and territories, including product testing, troubleshooting, process improvement, customer training, and technical support. This individual will work directly with customer personnel to ensure coating systems are performing to expectations while providing timely solutions to product and process-related issues. The role requires strong communication skills, a consultative approach, and the ability to build trusted partnerships with customers and internal stakeholders.

• Managing day-to-day technical service requirements for assigned accounts and territories.
• Ensuring optimum coating quality and product performance.
• Troubleshooting customer concerns and implementing corrective actions.
• Conducting on-site product testing, process audits, and refinements.
• Providing customer training and technical guidance.
• Documenting service activities and maintaining communication with internal teams.
• Training and mentoring developing Technical Service and Sales Representatives.
• Supporting business growth initiatives through exceptional customer service and technical expertise.
• Representing Finish Works professionally at customer locations, industry events, and trade organizations.

Qualified candidates should possess a minimum of 10 years of industrial finishing, coatings, or laboratory formulation experience, along with a strong understanding of industrial wood coatings and application equipment. Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and customer service skills are essential. The ability to travel extensively and work independently in manufacturing environments is required.
