We are seeking a mid-level attorney with a specialty in Construction Litigation. This is an opportunity for an attorney who thrives in a challenging environment, enjoys working on complex cases, and is eager to make a significant impact for our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of construction-related disputes, including case strategy, discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and trial.
Responsibilities- Handle all aspects of litigation, including drafting and reviewing pleadings, managing discovery, preparing and arguing motions, and conducting trials.
- Develop effective litigation strategies and tactics based on thorough knowledge and understanding of construction law and litigation.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives and provide strategic legal advice.
- Advise clients on legal risks and opportunities associated with construction projects.
- Manage relationships with external counsel, ensuring they deliver value for money and meet our standards of service.
- Coordinate with internal teams to gather information and evidence necessary for litigation.
- Maintain current knowledge of changes in legislation, case law, and industry trends affecting construction law and litigation.
- Participate in business development activities, including client pitches and presentations.
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice law in the state and in good standing.
- 2 years of experience practicing law with a focus on construction litigation.
- Proven track record of successfully handling construction-related disputes from inception through trial.
- Strong knowledge of construction law, contract law, and litigation procedures.
- Excellent negotiation, advocacy, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and ensuring quality.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and team members.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion.
- Willingness to travel as needed for trials, hearings, depositions, and client meetings.
