Steak n Shake’sprocurement team finds strategic approaches to procuring key items for the in-restaurant Steak ‘n Shake experience. We are looking to hire a Manager of Supply Chain focusing on Procurement and internal Supply Chain Data. This role will have three main responsibilities: traditional category management, miscellaneous procurement projects, and steward of supply chain data via Arrow Stream software. These responsibilities will be executed with end-to-end vision for COGS and Cash management, business continuity planning, and risk management.

Essential Functions:

• Establish and maintain relationships with manufacturing partners to ensure supply of products or services to the Steak ‘n Shake Restaurants.
• Lead RFP process to strategically source new product launches, limited time offers (LTO’s), and product enhancements.
• Analyze procurement related COGs impacts from commodity, sourcing, or supply decisions.
• Subject Matter Expert and steward to Steak ‘n Shake procurement data within the Arrowstream system. Full management of restaurant pricing, orderguides, master item list, automated reporting, etc…
• Proactively assist the Distribution and Logistics team with inventory management to ensure ongoing, continuous, and uninterrupted supply to the restaurants.
• Organized thought leader to track and manage various other procurement sourcing efforts
• Work additional hours as needed and respond to urgent communications, issues or risk of supply with high level of urgency.
• Cleanse and improve data to allow rigorous and automated analyses for continuous supply chain improvement.
• Work independently with minimal supervision. Drive projects and maintains a high sense of urgency and organization on identified projects.
• Respond to all correspondence in a timely manner as required.

• Travel as required, 20% of the time

You will interact daily with all members of the Supply Chain Team. Frequent interactions with suppliers, field senior leadership team, finance team and other Support Center employees.

Required Education and Experience

• Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or other Business Degree required
• Super User of Arrow Stream software required
• Advanced User of Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Copilot)
• MBA Preferred
• 4-6 Years of Supply Chain in Food Service, CPG, or Manufacturing required
• Critical Thinker
• Organized and detail oriented to develop and maintain processes and procedures
• Accountability driven
• Strong user of data for analysis and story telling
• Enthusiastic learner
