A growing organization is seeking a Logistics Manager to oversee transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution operations. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of materials and products while optimizing service levels, controlling costs, and supporting operational excellence. The ideal candidate will bring strong logistics leadership experience and a proven ability to improve processes within a fast‑paced environment.
Responsibilities:Logistics & Distribution Management
- Direct and coordinate end‑to‑end logistics operations, including warehousing, transportation, and order fulfillment.
- Manage the movement, storage, and distribution of materials and finished goods.
- Develop and implement logistics strategies that support operational and business objectives.
- Monitor delivery performance, transportation costs, and service levels to drive continuous improvement.
- Oversee inventory control activities to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Ensure inventory accuracy through effective monitoring, reporting, and process controls.
- Coordinate warehouse operations to maximize efficiency and product availability.
- Support inventory planning for both raw materials and finished goods.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, transportation providers, and service partners.
- Negotiate service agreements and support efforts to improve logistics performance and cost efficiency.
- Resolve operational issues related to shipments, inventory, and customer service.
- Lead, coach, and develop logistics and warehouse personnel.
- Establish performance metrics and analyze operational data to identify improvement opportunities.
- Implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with applicable company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
- 3‑5+ years of experience in logistics, operations, or supply chain management.
- Strong understanding of inventory management, warehousing, and transportation principles.
- Experience working with ERP, inventory management, and reporting systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, consumer products, or other inventory‑intensive environments.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and inventory optimization strategies.
